Chirayliq






The blog identified here is probably what sparked my original interest in the Uighurs [in addition to the wonderful way the Uighurs pronounce their name: "WEE • gur"] , Afghanistan, the Pshtun, Pakistan, Balochistan, the Kurds, Tajikistan, and Central Asia in general. Central Asia before I saw this blog was a blank. Central Asia now is almost as familiar, and almost as congenial, as, say, San Angelo.

Look at the blog, and tell me what you think. Maybe I'm merely insane.

Chirayliq

Chirayliq is the Uighur word for 'handsome, pretty, beautiful, attractive'. This blog concerns itself with the handsomeness of Central Asian men, and not only. From the Black Sea to Kamchatka, from the Kara Sea to Himalaya, this is a gallery celebrating the rugged charm of the men from the steppes, mountains, deserts and taigas.
I hope you enjoy the blog as much as I have.
